1. Subscription Revenue

More and more publications are adding subscriptions to their services. It's a great way to provide readers the ability to engage with news without being bothered by ads.

Publishers can add the Real Estate and Auto modules to charge local advertisers in their markets a nominal fee of $50 per week per post. Based on three auto spots, and three real estate spots, publishers have the ability to generate $15,000 in new annualised revenue. If they sell more than three, more spots can be added to the template.

Newspapers can engage their community and supplement their own stories on the website with contributed content using the Social and Contributed photo modules. This, along with the AAP content, will allow them to protect their own local content but have enough free content to make sure they have the traffic to be able to sell advertising to local advertisers.
